Childhood is filled with fantastical imaginations. Sometimes its hard for grown ups to remember those days when a doll or a toy car wasn't merely a doll or a toy car. To a child, these objects were characters in a story and had a life of their own. I set out to recreate this feeling of fantastical imagination with these darling children, wandering in a forest and discovering not just a toy boat, but a whole miniature world filled with possibilities. As I waded through a stream, wellingtons and all, I attempted to capture the magic of imagination.
